Legend Readalong Announcement! Read the Legend Series with Us!!

Hi, I’m hosting a readalong!!

This is going to be a pretty short blog post (or at least, compared to my 1k+ MONSTERS), but hopefully it’s something a lot of you will be interested in! I’m really excited to be hosting this readalong, because it’s for books I adore and with people I adore. And I hope you’ll be able to join us!

WHAT

 The Legend Readalong will be a readalong of all three books in the Legend series by Marie Lu, in order to prepare for the release of book 4, Rebel, in October! (If you don’t know what a readalong, it’s essentially just reading a book along with other people.)

It will be hosted by Julianna @ Paper Blots, Ilsa @ A Whisper of Ink, Taasia @ Librae Paints Pages, and myself. We aren’t planning anything super special for this; we just want it to be a fun, casual way to read the books together and talk about them!

It can be your first or millionth time reading the series, and you don’t have to read all the books either. We will have a Twitter group chat, and we’ll also be hosting Twitter chats, though there are no obligations to participate/talk in either of those—you can just read along with us!

WHEN

The readalong will take place from September 8 to September 25. The breakdown of the dates is below:

• LEGEND: Sep 8 – 11
• PRODIGY: Sep 15 – 18
• CHAMPION: Sep 22 – 25
• Twitter chats every Saturday, times and hosts TBA

The breakdown of how much we will be reading each day is still being decided right now (as there are no chapter numbers and we’re figuring out the best way to divide the book), but this post will be updated with those as soon as they are confirmed!

WHAT IS LEGEND ABOUT?

Legend is from the infamous 2011-2012 YA dystopian era, so you can imagine what kinds of tropes it has, but it truly is so much fun and entertaining to read, and you’ll fall in the love with the characters so easily! And it wouldn’t be a Marie Lu book without destroying your emotions, so there’s that to look forward to as well!!!

I think this is going to be super fun, so I really hope you can join us in reading this amazing series! It’ll be a great way to finally read the books if you’ve been meaning to but haven’t gotten the chance to. And it’ll also be a great way to refresh your memory in time to read Rebel if you’ve already read the books!!
