Blog Tour Review + Aesthetic: The Weight of Our Sky by Hanna Alkaf // A Moving Story Beautifully Told (INTL Giveaway!)

It’s well-known that I’m in love with Asian books.

I mean, I can’t seem to shut up about Asian books I’ve loved and Asian releases I’m looking forward to. The Weight of Our Sky certainly isn’t exempt from my love.

When Vicky @ Vicky Who Reads announced a blog tour for Southeast Asians for this book, I immediately signed up. A chance to read one of my most anticipated books of the year, and talk about how it related to my Southeast Asian identity? Hell yeah.

I was ecstatic to be accepted for the blog tour, and I’m so thankful that I got to read this stunning book. Hopefully by the end of my review I can convince you all to read it as well!

May’s Moments of the Month: September // Spiraling Mental Health, Some Reading, Not a Lot of Blogging, and Lice… Again!

August was a chaotic month and I’m SO GLAD it’s over.

I thought I could be NOT stressed out by school and I… completely failed. Not to mention the fact that I did not read the 9 books I planned to, or plot out as much as my WIP as I thought I could, or actually interact with bloggers like I’d expected to.

(Just kidding I’m sure none of you thought I would be productive in August.)

But even though I literally just summed up my whole month in two sentences, I’m still going to talk about, in 1.7k words, what else happened in August!!! I know this is a horrible intro but please just go with it my brain is tiredt.

May’s Moments of the Month: May // Big Reading Slump, No School, Bad Mental Health… but Pride and Vacation?

So! The month of me (May) was uhhhh not that great.

I mean, what could I expect? After April being my best month, I couldn’t expect May to be just as great, could I. I mean. That would be ridiculous. I would never expect something silly like that.

Okay so thankfully it wasn’t COMPLETELY bad: I got full scores on all my exams, ended the school year with hardly any homework and some fun with friends, and read some good books, despite being in a slump?

This is just me grabbing at positive things let’s be real.

More Talking of Writing With the Writer’s Tag + the #Smushing of Important Topics

Dude I was given a chance to talk about writing again??? No way am I not doing this.

It is 100% obvious that I LOVE TALKING ABOUT WRITING. Like it’s so fun??? I don’t understand. Why can’t I WRITE as much as I TALK about it? I’d honestly get so much more done.

But truly, I think all writers secretly like talking about writing rather than actually writing. It gives us an excuse. It lets us procrastinate, and procrastination is OBVIOUSLY MY BEST FRIEND and not at all my worst enemy.
