August was a chaotic month and I’m SO GLAD it’s over.
I thought I could be NOT stressed out by school and I… completely failed. Not to mention the fact that I did not read the 9 books I planned to, or plot out as much as my WIP as I thought I could, or actually interact with bloggers like I’d expected to.
Me? Being productive? Not as likely as you think.
(Just kidding I’m sure none of you thought I would be productive in August.)
But even though I literally just summed up my whole month in two sentences, I’m still going to talk about, in 1.7k words, what else happened in August!!! I know this is a horrible intro but please just go with it my brain is tiredt.

In order to make myself feel like I’m not entirely useless, I have to look at everything I accomplished.
But I also have to look at everything I DIDN’T accomplish??? So that kind of cancels each other out because I’m stupid. BUT STILL. I can’t just be all optimistic because then I wouldn’t be very realistic. Also who is May without negativity.
Today I’m talking about some things I accomplished in 2017… and things I DIDN’T accomplish. I’m actually really surprised by all the things I achieved this year??? Like I thought I’d be a rotten cabbage* who sat around and did nothing except eat obsessively, but APPARENTLY NOT! Fortunately.
Also I probably accomplished more but yo you know what one of my non-accomplishments is?? NOT REMEMBERING THINGS.
This is the second installment in my “Goodbye 2017” series! You can read the first post HERE.
*I hate cabbage.

I !! FINISHED !! MY !! FIRST !! WIP !! EVER !!!!
You probably can’t tell that I’m excited, but I’M EXCITED. Me?? Actually committing to something and finishing it??? NEARLY UNHEARD OF????
I’m just SO SO proud of myself for finally finishing a novel. It’s not good, definitely not. But the important thing is that I COMPLETED it and actually proved to myself that I could do it!!!

Me? Dead? Right now? No.*
*This is a lie.

*Note: This is a day late because yesterday I was so freakin’ stressed and just didn’t feel like posting. 😦
Surprise, surprise. I actually won Camp NaNo before the 30th!
This is a huge shock to me, because in November, my goal was 15,000 words as well, and I even had a week off from school to write—yet I made it to my goal on the last day. And this time, I had no week off and was even sick—but I won seven days before the 30th! *cheers*
I’m also quite dead right now (hence the subtitle) because of SCHOOL and STRESS and LIFE. But luckily one of my secretaries was working full-time and she was able to revive me.

Being sick apparently takes away your writing time, as does procrastinating and staring at a blank screen. #surprise
Okay, so I knew this. But I didn’t want to??? I wanted to assume that HAHAHA I CAN WRITE WHILE I’M SICK because that totally doesn’t require you to use your brain at all AND PROCRASTINATING = WRITING am I right or am I right.
Today’s Writerly Update includes my experiences with Camp NaNo and NaPo (so far), along with some horrible snippets and worse poems, and an update on how [bad] my magic story is going.
