The Fourth Annual 2020 Book Blogger Awards: Winners!

Today, I’m very excited to present the winners of the 2020 Book Blogger Awards!

It brings us the utmost pleasure to be able to host these awards and recognize, in some way, the hard work, time, effort, and passion of book bloggers. So many incredible people in this community are overlooked, and we love that with these awards, we can bring just a tiny bit of appreciation and support for them. People telling us they found new blogs to read or some of their favorite bloggers through these awards makes us so happy—and we hope that you will continue to find new, amazing blogs because of them.

Of course, feelings of being left out or not enough are inevitable. Please remember that no matter what, your voice always, always matters, whether or not you were nominated/won. These awards are just one way to recognize and uplift book bloggers and are not the end-all, be-all of a blogging career, especially since these awards take place in one corner of the book blogging world. (And there’s always next year!)

The Fourth Annual 2020 Book Blogger Awards: Rules and Categories!

The awards are back again!!

I’m so excited to be hosting the Book Blogger Awards again this year, and I can’t wait to see all the blogger love and appreciation start pouring in! But before we dive into the specifics, I have a few short announcements:

First of all, as I mentioned earlier: this year, I have a co-host, who is none other than my absolutely lovely friend Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books! I was so honored that she said yes to my offer, because she’s someone I look up to so much, and also a blogger who has the same passion as I do for supporting other bloggers.

Second of all, we’re implementing some new changes/limitations in order to make this year’s awards better than last year’s! Hopefully, this means more bloggers will get the love. So please pay attention to all the rules to make sure you don’t miss anything!

Finally, this year Kat @ Novels and Waffles was able to make some stunning graphics for us, so all of the logos, promo images, etc. are all by her!! Please go follow her blog, commission her, and give her some love because she deserves it all.

The Third Annual 2019 Book Blogger Awards: Voting!

This is going to be my shortest*, least pretty post ever, but that’s okay!!

The nominations for the Third Annual 2019 Book Blogger Awards have all been counted and totaled, and the top bloggers with the highest amount of votes for each award category have all moved onto Round 2: Voting, where the winners will be determined by your vote!! 400 bloggers were nominated, and a little over 70 have gone on to the next round.

*Note: In my original post introducing the awards, I said you would vote for one blogger out of the top 5. However, in some categories, there was no way I could fairly identify the top 5 (ie. I would have to choose one blogger out of multiple that had the same # of nominations), so there may be more or less than 5 choices!

You are required to be signed into your Google account for security purposes, but that information will not be shared by me. You are not allowed to vote more than twice, and you are allowed to vote for yourself. You do not have to vote in every category, but it’s encouraged to vote in as many as you can. Bloggers are in randomized order. This form will close on Wednesday, July 31, at 11:59 PM CDT, and results will be posted most likely during the week of August 4-10!

The Third Annual 2019 Book Blogger Awards: Rules & Categories

[takes deep breath] I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS POST.

Before I start getting even more excited, let me start out with a little explanation: If the title of this post sounds familiar, it’s because a retired book blogger, Joce @ Write Through the Night (who is now a YouTuber!!), used to host annual Book Blogger Awards. (Here are the 2018 winners and the 2017 winners.) But because she’s no longer blogging, these awards weren’t being hosted by anyone anymore.

A week ago, I was reminiscing about my old blogging days (for some ungodly reason, I decided to go back to some of my old posts and read them, then was forced to bleach my eyes afterwards), and I remembered these awards that she’d held. I found her old post and read through all the nominations posts that had been linked back, and was just so full of love for the community and how we’re all so happy to promote and celebrate other bloggers.

As a result of this, I decided to contact Joce about possibly continuing her awards, just because I loved them so much. And, to my great pleasure, she agreed and was even super enthusiastic about the idea!! So today, I’m here with the third annual 2019 Book Blogger Awards and I’m just so!!!!! excited!!!!!

You all know I absolutely LOVE boosting bloggers, because I think we’re all just so amazing and deserve all the appreciation in the world. So I am truly beyond happy to be hosting these awards this year (and hopefully future years), and to see all the blogger love pour in!!!

(Unless you let this flop. Please don’t let this flop.)
